From the perspective of a central-European expat it is really hard to find proper bread here. Especially the kids enjoy toast with jam on Sunday mornings, but it makes me happy when they say the like my bread best. So glad I acquired some baking skills during the lockdowns before I moved here. Quite some challenge reviving our sourdough that died while relocating and baking without my usual oven and other equipment. Luckily not much of a challenge to beat local bread. Our sourdough wholegrain rye/spelt bread pictured here. Has some flaws still, but tastes amazing
